Is the Ultimate Edition worth it?
Only if you know you want cosmetic and vehicle content on day one — the $20 buys in-game items, not extra story.
Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as a collection of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel threaded across Jason and Lucia's story. It does not add missions, areas or a season pass. On GTA V's history, comparable items eventually became obtainable in-game or through updates. If you are undecided, the Standard Edition is the safer buy — you are not locked out of content that matters.
