GTA 6 release times by timezone
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not yet announced what time it unlocks, so nobody can give you an exact hour honestly. What we can do is show both patterns Rockstar has used before and what each would mean where you live — and update this page within the hour once times are official.
Unlock time: Unconfirmed Pre-load date: Confirmed — November 12, 2026, one week before launch, including for physical copies.
The two scenarios
Simultaneous global unlock — everyone gets in at the same moment, usually midnight US Eastern. Rockstar used this for Red Dead Redemption 2. Midnight local — the game unlocks at 12:00 AM in each region's own time, so Australia and Asia play first. This is the more common console-storefront pattern.

What to do before launch night
- Pre-load on November 12. The download is expected to be large; starting on launch day means waiting hours after everyone else is in.
- Physical buyers still pre-load. Discs ship from November 12 with a download code.
- Free up space early. Rockstar has not published a file size; assume it is the largest game you own and clear accordingly.
- Check your console's region. Under a midnight-local unlock, your storefront region decides your time, not your physical location.
This page updates the moment Rockstar confirms unlock times — that update will be logged in the changelog. Until then, treat every specific hour you see elsewhere as a guess.
